Quick question for all of you who have received physical therapy in the past…How many times did you receive physical therapy only to see your physical therapist treating one, two, or even three other patients at the same time?

The above scenario, unfortunately, happens many times in the physical therapy setting. For a variety of reasons, the physical therapist can be treating you and others at the same time. As a treating physical therapist for nearly 30 years, I can tell you that I experienced this as a provider too many times.

Are you ready to learn how you can avoid the scenario described above? Read on…

Something Needed to Change

As a long-time physical therapist in the outpatient clinic setting, I knew something had to change. I saw two big issues, issues I could no longer ignore:

  1. My patients were not getting my undivided attention during their physical therapy sessions.
  2. Many patients, because of their injuries and resulting pain, had a difficult time making it to the outpatient clinic.

To quote Albert Einstein, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Something needed to change!

The birth of iMove PT

To stop the insanity, iMove PT was launched in June 2020. From day one, four main principles guided iMove PT and will always be the pillars of our company:

  1. Our patients will be treated 1 on 1 in the comfort, privacy, and safety of their own homes. We will always treat our patients where they live, work, or the field they play on.
  2. All visits will be 1 hour in length. Let’s face it, the human body is very complex. When we treat a hip injury, we also need to look at the low back and the knee. Which takes time. We will always give each patient the full attention they deserve.
  3. We will never let an insurance company dictate the care we provide to a patient. Because of this, iMove PT is a Medicare Part B provider but is out of network with all other insurance plans (by the way, we are delighted how many people see the unique value of our services and have become self-pay patients).
  4. iMove PT fully believes a highly skilled physical therapist is the ideal professional who should treat non-operative soft tissue and joint conditions.

Where are we now?

Wow, I am grateful for such a strong iMove PT community that is growing in the St. Louis, MO region!

For the first time in my career, I can honestly say that my team and I can focus on only one patient at a time for a complete hour! Finally, a solution that works for the physical therapist, but most importantly, a solution that works beautifully for our patients!

Patients are finally getting the full undivided attention of their physical therapist. We bring all of the tools we need to our patients. They never have to worry about dealing with traffic or weather related issues. Let the physical therapy professionals at iMove deal with traffic jams and the weather!

The iMove PT Physical Therapy Team

Laura, Jen, Aggie, Kaylee, and Sam are the incredible physical therapists of iMove PT! I hear amazing testimonials from our patients every day about our talented team.

So many of our patients grew tired of treatments they received before. Traditional therapy sessions typically involved more time having the patient doing exercises on their own rather than having the skilled hands of a physical therapist guiding precise movements to decrease pain and improve function.

Quickly after receiving physical therapy with iMove PT, our patients want their friends and family to receive the same high level of care they have experienced.

We will go where you are and will give you a full 60 minutes of the care you deserve, the care you should receive every single physical therapy visit.
