Did you know that two of our therapists, Dr. Sam Cardona and Dr. Samantha Curry are more than just our dynamic duo out in St. Charles county? When they started working with iMove PT, they were dating and after 4+ years of dating, Dr. Sam popped the question and Dr. Sammi said YES!! Here are some fun facts about the couple and their engagement story:
1.When did you two meet?
- Sam says “Sammi and I met in Physical Therapy school in southwestern Virginia. When we first met, Sammi didn’t like me that much due to us having the same name. We became friends during the first year of PT school and then it became something more in year 2. We’ve been together ever since!”
2. How long have you two been together?
- We have been together for 4.5 years!
3. Tell us all the details about the proposal!
- Sam’s side of the story: The proposal happened at Defiance Ridge Winery on Memorial Day weekend. My parents were coming to visit for Memorial day weekend, they knew ahead of time I was going to propose. I had asked Sammi’s parents for her hand months prior, I was just waiting for everyone to be able to be in the same place. I had my mom hold the ring until the right time, then I asked Sammi’s mom to distract her so I could get the ring. I made a small speech letting Sammi know how much she means to me and then I proposed! And Sammi said…YES!
The happy couple is still working out all the fun details that go along with a wedding. We are incredibly happy for them and can’t wait for all the upcoming festivities! Congratulations Sam and Sammi!
