Dr. Michael Gorman, PhD, PT, DMT, FAAOMPT
Dr. Michael Gorman has over 27 years of orthopedic physical therapy experience. His extensive post-graduate orthopedic manual physical therapy includes five years of Residency, Fellowship, and PhD training. Orthopedic manual physical therapy is a speciality field of physical therapy which utilizes advanced evaluation skills along with specific techniques to restore mobility, strength, and function of the human body. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1993 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
Michael is one of only a handful of physical therapists in the state of Missouri that is a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists.
He has extensive training in treatment of neck and low back pain, as well as advanced specialization in treatment of upper and lower extremity conditions.
For over a decade, Dr. Gorman has been very involved with the American Physical Therapy Association Missouri Chapter.. He is very involved with state legislation in order to protect and advance the practice of physical therapy.
During his free time, Dr. Gorman enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and cycling. He is always looking for a good adventure and a good podcast!
